Gaming as a creative source.

About

Creative Gamer

This blog is the collective ramblings of SiamJai and BloxMaster about – you guessed it – gaming creatively. Rather than mindlessly consuming games in predetermined ways spoonfed by developers, creative gamers seek out their own ways of fun. Sometimes these ways may be at odds with mainstream gaming concepts, but we couldn’t care less.

SiamJai

As a headstrong gamer and control freak, I can no longer enjoy games without having some external control over them. I thrive on playing games in ways the developers never intended, discovering shortcuts, bugs, glitches and secrets along the way. This curiosity often comes in handy for helping indie devs beta-testing their games; Nifflas of FiNCK and Noa of Elona Shooter are two notable examples.

My other passion is Adobe Fireworks, an often-overlooked graphic editor on par with Photoshop. An animation tutorial of mine was featured on the Adobe Developer Center, and I’m a member of the Fireworks Prerelease Advisory team, testing the next generation of Fireworks before public release.

BloxMaster

BloxMaster is known for lending his talents to unofficial level design for a few select indie games. As a great game enthusiast and a keen eye for quality and detail, he strives to create quality content for already quality games. Other than that, he doesn’t mind long, inspired rants about interesting facts. As someone who prides himself on being helpful, he may often describe things in detail as an engaging seminar of sorts, on how something works. Sometimes this goes hand in hand with his love of gaming – he’s not shy to provide himself as a useful resource for any manner of advice when it comes to games.
